[So with all the cold and snow that's been blowing around Luceti lately, Eley's finding that his human body isn't quite as strong as he thought it would be. Living a nomadic existence, he's been wandering the forest and the village, staying out in the cold for days (and nights) at a time, but now it seems to be taking its toll...

Anyone passing by the outskirts of the village might find the Spirit just sitting in the snow, all bundled up in all the winter clothes he'd been given for Christmas, shivering and sneezing and looking rather sorry for himself. Anyone with the power to will sense that he's pretty sick. He seems to have no energy to move and is trying to conserve it by staying in one place.

If he doesn't want the sickness to get worse though, he'd better muster up the energy to go and find some shelter somewhere!]

[Eley looks surprised at the sudden appearance of that fireball. He looks at it for a good long while as if trying to decide whether he's hallucinating or not. It felt very real if so, because he can feel the warmth the flames are giving off. It was... soothing.

In answer to his question, the Spirit pushes himself to his feet, though he's obviously lacking in energy.]

I believe I will be all right. But... you do not need to take me anywhere Helios. I do not want to impose on you.

[folklorist]

[ Helios smiles watching the spirit carefully. He moves in close to help support the other if he needs it, but a small sigh of relief escapes him as Eleytheria stands. ]

N-No you need to, ah, get somewhere warm. And we need to get something warm in you. It-it's not imposing if I'm offering, Eleytheria. [ Helios gives an encouraging look and motions for the spirit to follow him. ]

[winds_voice]

[Luckily he seems able to move himself, albeit slowly. He is feeling rather weak and tired after all. He'll follow Helios carefully, wrapping himself up in the coat he's wearing and glad for the winter presents he received.]

If you are sure... I will leave as soon as I am able. Thank you for your help.

[folklorist]

[ Helios keeps a close eye on Eleytheria as the spirit staggers to his feet. He might even offer a gloved hand for assistance as well. Helios chuckles and shakes his head, holding up a hand in reaction to Eley's reply. ]

Honestly it's really quite alright. There's lots of soup and stew back at the house to warm you up a bit. [ Even if the spirit didn't need to eat, the warmth would surely be welcome, right? ] Take as long as you like, we're all rather amicable towards guests at house forty-four.

[ And with that they'll head off towards the house at a slow but steady pace. No use in staying out in this cold for too long after all. ]

[He hadn't tried many kinds of food or drink yet but he was starting to find that he enjoyed trying it even without the illness making him subconsciously crave its warmth.

Helios might note that he looks a little put off by his comment though. As welcoming as he made it seem, Eley might not be the best guest around strangers.]

There will be others at your house? [He says as if it hadn't really crossed his mind.]

[folklorist]

Mm yes. [ He's drawing some conclusions here about the wind spirit. He's probably not all too eager to go into a house filled with strangers. Helios can certainly understand that. So he manages his best most warming expression before continuing. ] But! I don't Saori, Adele, Sabriel or Lireal will mind. They're quite accustomed to having and bringing visitors over themselves. Adele is even a doctor s-so she might be able to even help you, if you wanted her to take a look?

[ He's not too sure about the anatomy aspects of what Eley is. But it couldn't hurt to try right? ]

[winds_voice]

Ah... Saori is with you?

[A familiar face would certainly make Eley feel more at ease... though really he would rather nobody had to see him like this.]

I am not sure what your doctor could do for me... but I will appreciate any help she can provide. I am sure that warmth and rest will be all that I need, however.

[folklorist]

Yes that's right! She and I live together, along with Sabriel her sister Lireal and Adele. [ So you have nothing to worry about Eley. ]

I think you might be right. You, um, p-probably have a cold. But we should get you somewhere warmer fast. We don't want it to become anything more serious.

[winds_voice]

It always more... reassuring to know the ones you are about to meet. At least in some way. I hope that I will not have to suffer for long though so I can leave you in peace.

Do not worry... as a Spirit I am sure my recovery will be swift once I am in the warm and can rest properly.

[folklorist]

[ Helios gives a dismissive wave of his hand as he smiles and shakes his head. His expression warm and hardly bothered by the spirit's obvious troubled thoughts. ]

Nonsense Eleytheria. Your health is far more important than anything, so don't worry about being a bother, you hardly are at any rate. Besides, I'm sure Saori will like the unexpected visit. She has been a bit sullen as of late.

[ A frown as he thinks on that, but only briefly. Helios will then look curiously back at the other. ] Isn't the form you take now more corporeal then anything else? Or am I assuming too much.

[winds_voice]

Sullen? [That does catch his attention.] Why? Has something happened?

[He's not sure if seeing him sick would really lift her spirits, but he hoped it might bring her some light all the same. As for Helios' question, he has to pause to consider it.]

I suppose you are right. If that were not the case then I likely would never have caught this... cold in the first place. Still if I can manipulate the wind in this body... perhaps that is not all I can do. I am hoping that I am not so human that I have to endure such things for the same span of time. There is still some Spirit in me... I am sure of it.

[Excuse him while he sneezes.]

[folklorist]

[ Helios shrugs and shakes his head. ] I-I think it's just the weather, really. Saori has mentioned more then a few times that she ever so despises the cold. I-I'm sure it's nothing more then that.

[ Helios blinks and looks a bit embarrassed. ] Oh, um, of course. I-I never suggested that you weren't. It's just that...humans are a bit more susceptible towards things like colds and such. I-I guess that your body is mimicking similar problems that we normally have for this time of year.

[winds_voice]

Ah yes... I can understand that. I am not used to the snow myself. I visit snowy regions yes, but I do not dwell in them.

[His explanation seemed to make sense. He wasn't certain to what extent his spiritual make-up was still apparent in Luceti, but he knew he couldn't make this human body fade away as he could back home. He wasn't even sure if he could change it yet... Perhaps he was more human in this world and so his body was reacting in the same way.]

I still have much to learn about humans... about their bodies too, it seems.

[folklorist]

It can get a bit cold, especially here. Layers. Lots and lots of layers is what I recommend! It'll help insulate you more so you can retain more heat. [ Or you can whip up a fire spell. Either or works. ]

I...could get you a book on it, if you'd like? There's several science books in the library that we use for school. I'm sure you could learn a thing or two from those!

[winds_voice]

Layers? All right... I will take that into account.

[And probably end up looking like a walking marshmallow next time it's freezing cold outside. The mention of a book definitely catches his interest.]

Those books may help me, yes... If it is not too much trouble I would like to take a look at them.

[Anything to help him gain a better understanding of how humans work!]

You'll see that it makes quite the difference! I think investing in come down coats and-and fleece will help too. Those are very insulated for the deeper cold.

[ Helios will promise not to laugh because he's the one who gave Eley the idea. ] Oh it's no trouble at all! I can get them for you right away. There's a whole bunch of them in the library. Lots of copies and all that, so you can take it out for as long as you need.
