[So with all the cold and snow that's been blowing around Luceti lately, Eley's finding that his human body isn't quite as strong as he thought it would be. Living a nomadic existence, he's been wandering the forest and the village, staying out in the cold for days (and nights) at a time, but now it seems to be taking its toll...

Anyone passing by the outskirts of the village might find the Spirit just sitting in the snow, all bundled up in all the winter clothes he'd been given for Christmas, shivering and sneezing and looking rather sorry for himself. Anyone with the power to will sense that he's pretty sick. He seems to have no energy to move and is trying to conserve it by staying in one place.

If he doesn't want the sickness to get worse though, he'd better muster up the energy to go and find some shelter somewhere!]

[Well... this was different. Eley had been on the opposite side of this support system before, he wasn't used to being the one in trouble. Still, he'll gladly accept Saleh's help and walk through the village with him.]

Thank you... you did not have to do this for me.

I can't stand to leave people to suffer. After all, you came to me when I was suffering.

[Saleh leads the Spirit into C7, and then straight to his room. It's times like this when he's glad to be on the first floor.]

... [Eley fell silent at that as they made their way to Saleh's room. Thoughtful. There was a time when he had helped many humans and had gained their help in return. It saddened him somewhat that it was so difficult for him to accept such help now. Very few people received it from him too.

Once he made it to Saleh's room he might have collapsed straight on the bed. However, he was more restrained than that, and already felt as though he was intruding.]

Ah, I should sit down and rest. I do not want to get in your way so... anywhere will do.

[Even the floor.]

Here...

[Saleh leads him to the extra bed, gesturing for him to lay down.]

Please do not worry about "getting in my way." Let us focus on your recovery. I will prepare some hot tea.

[The Spirit hesitates at first but finally gives in and lies down on the bed, sinking into the pillows... it gives him a great sense of relief to be resting like this. He hadn't realised it would be so useful.]

Hmm...it seems like you have a cold, or perhaps even a flu. Those illnesses give symptoms of sniffling, sneezing, and sometimes a fever. It is important to rest and keep warm while these symptoms persist.

...I see. Then I was foolish to stay outside in the snow. I did not quite understand what was happening.

[He feels slightly embarrassed now but at least he's in the warm where he supposedly should be. He's grateful he has someone he trusts enough here to help in the first place.]

I understand that you were not quite familiar with the weaknesses of the human body. But perhaps it would be prudent for you to find an abode of your own when you're well again.

[He's heating up some water and letting a tea bag brew in a cup now.]

...perhaps. I should at least find shelter.

[He still seems rather reluctant to admit that a home would be a good thing. Something about human houses didn't appeal to him despite the warmth. Living in what was essentially a contained area made him feel uneasy.

Hmph... and he's sinking back into the pillows now looking slightly depressed. He doesn't like being rendered useless and can feel himself getting bored already. At least he has company.]

Indeed. Just to have a place to retreat to if the weather turns foul, or you need time to yourself. Something like a small sanctuary.

[He leaves the bedside for a moment to finish the cup of tea, and then brings it back, offering the steaming cup to the wind spirit.]

Here, this should bring some comfort.

It will be the first thing I look into once I have recovered.

[He assured Saleh as he came back with the drink. Eley takes it from him, carefully as he realises it's hot. Just holding it offers some comfort to his aching body. It really was cold outside...]

I feel as though I should do something in return for your help...

[He admits after a moment of thought, taking a small sip. It isn't often he'd admit to that but in this case he couldn't really say otherwise.]

It's not necessary...though I would not refuse either, if that is where your heart guides you.

[He sets up a chair a few feet away to give Eley some space.]

I am not sure exactly what I could do for you... but I hope I might be able to return the favour someday. If you have any suggestions I will listen, even if... I may not be able to fulfil your request.

[He says, taking more of the drink as he rests. He feels so warm now and the liquid soothes his throat. He could easily drift off to sleep once he's done...]

You will. Though I have no suggestions at the moment, opportunities will come up, I'm sure. We just live our daily lives, looking for opportunities.
