16 - [Accidental Video/Action]
[Eley wasn't happy.
Not only had he been subjected to an experiment that had forced him to relive an experience he was trying to forget, the recent post from the Malnosso had riled him up even more. So they did it then... they used that weapon. And all he did was sit back and let them.
The Spirit was finding that he was being pushed more and more to his limits lately. That yes, perhaps he was becoming more emotionally invested in things than he should. The truth was, he was sick of being trapped in this bubble with no way out and of being stuck in a world he barely understood. He couldn't go after them... he couldn't do anything. Even if he did somehow break free, he had no idea what he would do or what it would accomplish.
Eley was angry and frustrated and seemed to be losing grip on his emotions again even after returning to his otherwise normal state here. Of course, throwing his journal in his frustration had only caused a feed to record without his knowledge as it smacked against a rock. There isn't much to see, just a lot of dusty rocks at a slanted angle and a blue patch of sky. You can probably tell it's in the mountains at least.
...but it's what can be heard that's likely more worrying. There's a large crashing sound followed by the incessant tumbling of several small fragments of rock clattering to the ground. The image of the feed becomes obscured by dust, and then everything falls silent.]

Eleytheria? Are you injured? Do you require medical assistance?
It is all right... I am not hurt. I... simply needed a way to let out the emotions building within me. I have not been feeling well due to recent events.
Forgive me for worrying you.
Re: [Video]
Where are you?
[Because Spock will totally go there if he has to.]
He sighs.]
I am in the mountains. If you really wish to find me then I will explain when you arrive.
[See? He knows you're going to go after him already.]
Re: [Video/Action]
I am on my way there. Please, tell me of your situation. Is your.... friend safe?
[Because Spock could imagine that a death of a friend would put Eley in this state.]
Yes... Rudy is safe now. This is more of a personal matter. I am becoming rather tired of being trapped and manipulated by the Malnosso, and I cannot condone their recent actions.
Re: [Video/Action]
[They were all tired... but it's worse to give in, to somehow let them win by getting to you on a mental level.]
Yet there is nothing I can do. I am trapped here and I have no means to change anything.
Re: [Video/Action]
If there is nothing that you can do, then why seek solitude in the mountains? This event was not your fault, you carry no blame... is it not illogical then to continue blaming yourself?
[Spock was trying to understand, he really was.]
[The actions of the Malnosso recently may have tipped the balance, but there was also that other event that had occurred. It had left him feeling raw and vulnerable.]
The experiment that came to pass recently filled me with powerful emotions... emotions that I had hoped were under control. I tried to hurt my friends and I find that I am still a little on edge. So while I calm down I will remain here.
...of course, I knew that it was futile to try to turn you away.
Re: [Video/Action]
Then perhaps you have made a logical choice in seeking temporary solace. However, I will not allow you to believe that you are fault for actions that were out of your control.
...it was that phrase though, 'out of your control' that bothered Eley the most. No Spirit should lack control. They needed to be sturdy and unyielding to do their jobs properly, for the sake of the planet.
Still, this was not his planet.]
Fault or not, I still do not know what to do to feel more useful here. I cannot become idle. It will be... dangerous for me in the end.
Re: [Video/Action]
[Because Spock... well, he was worried about his friend.
He started scaling the hills, making his way steadily up to Eley's location.]
Still, Eley felt that it was wrong to try to avoid the subject now. He wanted Spock to understand, if he could.]
...if a Spirit loses all sense of purpose then it will eventually fade away to nothing. In the words of humans... I would die.
Re: [Video/Action]
But are you not partially human now? Do you believe that you could die here while residing in Luceti?
The rules of your world do not apply here Eleytheria... not for any of us.
[And how well he knows.]
It is true that the rules here are different. In a way, that is just another thing to be wary of. I have no idea what will happen or how this new body of mine will influence what translates to life and death for me. It may be another reason to be careful... I am far more vulnerable as a human and that is what troubles me most of all.
Are you never afraid of death?
[Action]
I do not fear my own death, no.
[But that does not mean that he fears the death of others. Spock walks up to Eley, his eyes assessing his friend.]
What do you need?
[Action]
The Spirit is a little startled to hear the voice coming from behind now but glances back to see Spock coming closer. Eley looked dusty and tired, like someone who was emotionally exhausted... but at least he wasn't physically injured.]
I am not sure what I need... A focus perhaps. While I do enjoy learning new things and meeting new people, I have yet to put any real effort into any one thing. I drift... like a cloud. If I had a clear goal in mind, perhaps I would not feel so helpless.
Re: [Action]
[Spock continues to look at Eley...] Are you injured?
[Action]
It is... more a case of what skills I can offer. You know that I am unfamiliar with many aspects of humanity.
[He shakes his head at the next question.]
No, I am fine. Please do not worry so much. I am not so far gone that I would hurt myself.
[Intentionally anyway... he still forgets how vulnerable this body can be at times. Luckily there was nothing especially wrong with his other than some grime and light scratches from debris.]
Re: [Action]
You are only limited by your willingness to learn. Allow yourself to admit that you require help from others, and learn from them.
[Action]
His words were true though. He knew he should be receptive to help from others, but... it was difficult for him to admit how weak he really was.]
Thank you... I will. Of course, if there is anything I can do for you, please let me know. While it may take a while for me to find a job that I agree with, I am never above helping my friends.
Re: [Action]
There is no shame in being weak Eleytheria. It is at that point when we must push ourselves to be better.
