For all of those who may have been concerned, I have returned from the previous mission.

I am well, though I would like to give thanks to those who helped to take care of me during that time. It seems I was not prepared for the strain such extreme conditions would put on this new body of mine. I may not require sustenance in the form of food and water in the safety of the enclosure, but a scorching desert is far more damaging while I am trapped in this form. Next time, I will be more careful.

[Assuming there was a next time... He hoped he wouldn't have to get involved too often, but currently he had more than one reason to push himself.

He pauses, before continuing.]

While I am here, there is... something else I wish to discuss. I am in need of someone with a knowledge of curses. If you are willing, I would be especially grateful to hear from anyone who has suffered from such a thing and been cured of it. If not, any experiences with a curse may be of interest to me. Thank you.

[For anyone who wants to meet/check-in on Eley in person, he will most likely be resting by his tree near Cherry Blossom Tree Hill since... well even though he might not have been involved with the investigations first-hand on the mission, he's still pretty worn out. Later in the day you might find him going for a wander along the river and further into the forest.]

That's true! Between clothes, inventions, houses, farming... All that stuff can help you survive even in the toughest of climates. Pretty impressive, when you consider how we don't have built-in weapons like claws, fangs, horns, and stuff.

[Granted, Ven's got his Keyblade, which could be seen as 'built in, but that's a special case.]

[The mention of such natural tools makes Eley wonder...]

I wonder if the same lack of resistance would apply to me were I in dragon form. Had our abilities not been robbed of us, I may have been able to find out.

...failing that, I suppose I should do what I can to learn more of the inventiveness of mankind. It could benefit me to have those skills as well while I am stuck as a human.

That all depends on what your dragon form's like. I'd bet if you've got wings, claws, and scales, you'd have at least some advantages... but then again, you'd be a lot bigger, wouldn't you? And in a desert, that'd be pretty tough.

[Unless he's coldblooded in that form. In that case, maybe it wouldn't be so bad!]

But if you wanna know more about humans, I bet you could learn a lot from the library! History books oughta cover that sorta thing.

I can attest to the fact I have all of those... including the size. I had no trouble traversing Esperando in this form in Aether, but things may be different here. This world is still something of a mystery to me and a Spirit is only really designed for one world, at least in the case of Aether.

I wonder if the Battledome would provide some way for me to test my limits here. I do not usually like to go there... but for this I may make an exception.

[The library too, was something that often came up when he wanted to learn more. Eley should pay it a visit more regularly, though with the amount of knowledge contained in one place he would likely end up staying there all day.]

I am certainly becoming familiar with the library the longer I stay here. I will have to investigate.

Well, I can't speak for everybody, but I go to the Battledome all the time, and I've never had problems. Sure, it takes some getting used to, but you can set up all kinds of simulations. Heck, the simulations are so real that it's like mapping out your own world... just inside a computer system.

[Which, in and of itself is a wild concept, but that doesn't make it any less fun. He's still tempted to make a field of cotton candy...]

[With a name like the 'Battledome' it's probably little wonder that Eley sometimes forgets just what it's capable of. That, and he's seen people fight there a fair few times. To simulate a whole world, that had never crossed his mind.]

Perhaps... would you care to accompany me there? I am unfamiliar with technology. You could show me just what it can do.

Hey, no problem! I've got time to burn. Plus, I've had a few ideas floating around my head for a while. What better time to put 'em to use?

[He could even do a quick demonstration! What better way to show him the ropes than to throw something crazy together?]

I see... in that case I will look forward to seeing what ideas you have in mind. [He hopes nothing too violent... simulation or not.]
