[Action]

[Eley really didn't want to be here but he knew that it was for the best. Having succumbed to Ganondorf's powers and finding himself under his control, the Spirit had assumed his dragon form and gone on a rampage. Only after being shot down by his friends, slowly overwhelmed by magic, did he find himself unable to continue. He had returned to his human form as soon as he lost consciousness and woken up in the clinic, in pain and waking from dark nightmares of his previous endeavours.

It had passed and Eley knew he would heal, but he also felt guilty for attacking his friends and he found himself afraid that something like that might happen again in future. Still he was thankful for their help and did not blame them for what they did to him.

In truth, all the Spirit wanted to do was thank them and leave this place as soon as he could.]

April 19th

[His voice is obviously tired, but he decides now is the time to speak out nonetheless.]

Tell me, what has become of the fiend who attacked Luceti? Is it... safe to go outside again?

Perhaps you are right. Humans are social creatures. They crave company to feel complete and at ease with the world.

However I am not human. I am not accustomed to feelings of loneliness, of guilt or physical violation. When faced with such things all I wish to do is return to my life as a Spirit. To forget humanity and the pain it causes. Or in this case, to forget whatever other evils lurk across worlds.

[He winces a little. He's getting a little worked up and it isn't doing his condition any favours. His body still hurts, his heart most of all.]

Before all of this, I was happy to be left alone.

Humans aren't the only creatures that desire companionship, you know.

Animals form packs, hunt as one... some even mourn the death of a family member...

Even demons, like myself, are given the ability to feel some measure of emotion...

... What I'm trying to say is, Eley... is that these things are natural. They help us grow, evolve, and learn.

[She's quiet a moment, smiling sweetly at him, before she teasingly adds:]

And even if you tried to push me away, I'd fight you tooth and nail. I'm not some pushover!

...you are a demon?

[Yes he totally didn't know that, shush. He has no concept of what demons even look like okay! He seems more surprised than anything. He had heard of demons as cruel, dangerous beings from others in Luceti but Morrigan seemed friendly enough, at least towards him...]

Why would you... fight so fiercely just to keep me here?

Because I worry for your well-being, of course.

[You showered her with compliments when she came here, and that's enough to put you on her good side for a long while yet, Eley.]

I'd never forgive myself if you ended up hurt, and I could have easily helped you.

I should... thank you then. There are few people in my world who still care for my well-being. In fact, many would question my existence... Spirits are becoming forgotten.

Here however, I feel as though I am treated as an equal. I have... never had so many friends.

[He pauses, his eyes on hers now.]

Anyone who would offer to protect me should gain the same protection from myself as well.
