[Action]

[Eley really didn't want to be here but he knew that it was for the best. Having succumbed to Ganondorf's powers and finding himself under his control, the Spirit had assumed his dragon form and gone on a rampage. Only after being shot down by his friends, slowly overwhelmed by magic, did he find himself unable to continue. He had returned to his human form as soon as he lost consciousness and woken up in the clinic, in pain and waking from dark nightmares of his previous endeavours.

It had passed and Eley knew he would heal, but he also felt guilty for attacking his friends and he found himself afraid that something like that might happen again in future. Still he was thankful for their help and did not blame them for what they did to him.

In truth, all the Spirit wanted to do was thank them and leave this place as soon as he could.]

April 19th

[Voice]

[His voice is obviously tired, but he decides now is the time to speak out nonetheless.]

Tell me, what has become of the fiend who attacked Luceti? Is it... safe to go outside again?

[Saleh's voice is filled with concern.]

The fiend...Ganondorf...he has been defeated. Things are back to normal. For now, at least...

How are you feeling?

[He gives a deep sigh, mostly of relief that something so dark and... quite frankly terrifying was gone now. Though even that news didn't relax him completely.]

I am... recovering. My wounds will heal in time. [His heart on the other hand might take longer to heal...]

Forgive me for attempting to cause you harm, Saleh. I was not myself.

I know. Several of my friends had been influenced by this. So...I had to do something.

...you are all very brave to confront such a great evil. Are you all right? Such a battle must have been dangerous for you despite the help of others.

I'm fine...recovering, anyway.

Yes...there are times when we must face the dangers even though they may be the death of us. To turn away is to lose everything. I refuse to give up what's important to me.

Good... I hope your recovery will be a swift one. [Though it still pains him that he should be hurt in the first place.]

[He pauses before continuing.]

Would you really walk to your death if it meant protecting what you consider important? How do you resist that fear of death that seems to drive all living things?

[That question makes him pause for a moment, bringing back the memory of his own death.]

...I wouldn't exactly "walk to my death." But I would risk my life. I actually had given my life to save a friend once. It was a reckless move. It made me realize that such a sacrifice should not be taken lightly. So, I would do everything humanly possible to stay alive. If there was no alternative, then I would give my life. But that is a sacrifice that must be considered very carefully.

... [Sometimes Eley forgot that people had come here after already dying in their own worlds. He had to wonder then what would happen should they 'return home'. Would they simply... cease to exist?

It made him shudder a little thinking about it.]

I do hope that you will never find yourself in a situation in which you feel you must sacrifice yourself for my sake. It... must be strange to be able to reflect on something like that when normally you would have no chance to. I should be thankful for Luceti in that case. Otherwise we would never have met.

Yes...Luceti has its blessings to offer as well. I am glad to have met you, Eleytheria.

_{[ He remembered this guy, the wind spirit Spock liked. Or, you know, not child Spock had liked. He was sure when Spock got big again and heard about this mess that he would be glad to know Eley at least sounded okay. ]}

Seems safe enough. Haven't heard or seen any more fighting at least.

[He wasn't expecting to hear that voice, though it was certainly familiar. He gives a gentle sigh of relief at the news. He is well enough to speak at least, though perhaps notably tired.]

I am glad. I will leave as soon as I am able.

Kirk, was it? Are you all right? And what of Spock?

[He already knows of his predicament and the knowledge of a child being out in an environment so terrible fills him with dread.]

[Morrigan had missed a good portion of the drama (unfortunately for her), so she instead settled on fighting a simulation of her favorite person (though Demitri was not and would never be in Luceti, she could still beat him up). Of course, she missed a strike or two when trying to show off, and ended up colliding with a wall...]

[Once she's done being checked, Morrigan senses a familiar presence nearby; only when she peers into the room and spots Eley does her curiosity turn to concern, and she quietly enters to keep him company.]

... Eley? Are... are you alright, darling?

[Eley honestly wasn't expecting any visitors if only because he knew his friends had been out there fighting. Perhaps they would be too afraid to go near him anymore... perhaps they were injured themselves. He hoped not.

When someone peers into the room the Spirit doesn't stir right away, just staring at a spot on the ceiling. He's visibly tired, his eyes are dull and his body pale but most of the damage done was internal. When she speaks and comes closer, she can't help but catch his attention.]

...Morrigan? Why did you come here?

Why...?

[The question prompts a worried frown from the succubus, and she pulls up a chair to sit beside Eley's bed.]

I took a small hit while training today... but that's not a big deal.

What happened to you, sweetie? You look absolutely exhausted.

[He might have commented on the training but it was obvious she was more concerned about him right now. Though he still found it strange to be at the receiving end of such worry.

He hesitates to answer. Recalling the ordeal wasn't particularly easy for him...]

There was a great battle in Luceti with... a man. No. A monster. A being who carried a great darkness with him. He... took control of me, made me attack the others.

[He shifts uncomfortably, unable to look at her. He feels rather violated right now and guilty.]

Oh, Eley dear...

[Concern and the faintest of disdain play upon her features, her lips pursed. Gently, hesitantly, she lays a hand on the sheet, a show of silent support.]

How horrible, that someone would take advantage of you in such a way...

...is the beast who did this to you defeated? Or will I have to have words with him?

From what I have heard, he has been defeated. It is... safe again.

[He looks down at that hand as she rests it there as if the act of support was something difficult to understand.]

You should stay away from me and warn the others in case it should happen again. I do not want to face them like that a second time... I do not want them to have to shoot me down as they did before.

...why should I stay away? What would be better... is if someone stayed by your side for a bit, to make sure you recover smoothly.

[Her voice carries an almost uncharacteristic mellowness, and her hand reaches up to touch his shoulder, lightly and gently.]

I won't leave you alone, not like this.

I hear you, being in the clinic is never fun. Mostly because of Bones and his hypo, but you know.

And yeah, he's fine. I kept him away from the fighting. We're a science world, not magic.

This is the first time I have had to come here... I hope it will not happen again. Still, I had no choice. I should be thankful my friends brought me here to help me to recover.

Good. Magic or not, I would not wish for any of my friends to face such a dark creature... especially not as a child.

...I do wonder though, if it might be best for me to stay apart from the others here.

[Eley tenses a little at the touch. He still wasn't used to being touched even by those he considered close so it was really just an instinctive reaction. He looks up at her now, surprised at just how supportive she's been still.]

I am obviously a danger to others. Perhaps not now... but if I were to be manipulated in that way in future then history would repeat itself. I... do not wish to relive past mistakes.

Spock? Yes, I will be... I am hurt, but I am recovering well. Please do not be concerned.

I am glad that you were kept safe during all of this...

Yes... the Captain protected Ayra and myself quite effectively. So I was separated from most of the events that had transpired.

[Spock was unaware of what had taken place...]
May I come see you?

[He wasn't quite sure how to answer that at first and hesitates. Not that he wouldn't welcome the company but he wasn't sure if this would be the best place for someone like him to visit at the moment.

Still, he answers finally, perhaps feeling a little selfish.]

Of course you may. I am at least well enough to speak.
