It seems we have had more new arrivals to Luceti since I first arrived here. I believe it is appropriate to greet and welcome them so... welcome. My name is Eleytheria. I am a Wind Spirit. I do not know how I can be of help to you but you are welcome to approach me and... ask any questions.

[He doesn't sound too sure about that but hey, he's trying!]

[He pauses. There has been something on his mind of late, what with a new temple surfacing. Perhaps he should ask a few questions. Jane had told him to be more forward and talk to people after all...]

To everyone who is listening to this I have a rather... personal query. You are under no obligation to respond to it, but I would like to learn from you and learn from your worlds. Before coming to Luceti, I had no idea so many more worlds existed, each with their own forms of 'gods' and 'spirits', their own methods of worship. Even in Luceti it seems that there are spiritual beings residing. In my world, we Spirits were born to regulate the environment, though some newer Spirits were also born from other means... intense emotions for example. I govern the sky, the wind and the clouds. I am also a deity of sorts to the people of the floating kingdom of Agkelos. We help one another and have a strong relationship with one another.

So tell me... what do you worship? What do you believe in? How seriously do you take your religion? More importantly... have you ever stopped believing? If so, why?

Perhaps. I am not entirely sure. I find it hard to trust humans since my betrayal so I am unsure if I would truly be able to work with them as I did in the past. Although it would be a good thing for the future, I know that. It is a difficult situation...

I suppose I have secluded myself in my own way as well. I do not normally walk amongst mortals and I reserve my words for only the Royal Family of Agkelos and the priestesses who still serve my temples. Should I... be doing more?

As for doing more...that is for you to decide. Who am I, a poor human, to tell a deity how to live?

...they betrayed me a long time ago. They stopped believing in me and abandoned me completely. Then they began to worship other idols and relied on their own human strength, leaving me forgotten. It was then that I began to hurt. I should not normally feel emotion, but it seems I had grown too close to humans. Now I am left trying to understand them and myself.

Hm, you are right. I will come to my own conclusion in due time.

I see...I am sorry. Perhaps...you could try reaching out to them slowly, perhaps with a whisper. Let them know that you are there for them. Perhaps, in time, they will begin to believe in you once more.

Of course, that is only a suggestion, so take it as you will. I would be open to learning more about you, and perhaps I can help you understand humans. With the culture I have lived, I believe I have come to understand the human mind and spirit better than most.

I suppose for a voice to be heard it must attempt to reach out in the first place. I will have to see what I can do... While there are still people who believe in me, I at least have some allies to work with.

I... may be more open to that idea than I am with most. While I have difficulties befriending humans at present, there are those who have shown me a rare kindness here. Your respect and care for your protector has not gone unnoticed. And of course, gaining a better understanding of humans will benefit me as well. I should thank you.
