Action

[Eleytheria was very confused. Never mind that he had just woken up half-naked, his old clothes piled up neatly beside him, he was more worried about the fact that he was away from his world. He had helped to maintain Aether for thousands of years, and this was not his forest.

Then there was that... feeling, as though something were on his back. He felt behind him, then looked to see a pair if small white and gold wings resting there. He stretched them out, testing them, trying to learn to control them. They were every bit a part of him, but at the same time they felt alien. He had not put them there. He could not force them to go away. What was happening here? What strange force had torn a Spirit from his world and altered him like this?

After dressing himself to try to feel at least a little bit more normal, noticing the new holes in his clothing for the wings to slip through, Eleytheria looked down to find a book. Curious, he reached down to pick it up and flicked through it. He wasn't sure if he really understood what he was seeing...]

-Later-

[As Eleytheria wanders through the forest, trying to work out the journal he's carrying, he soon finds himself on the outskirts overlooking the village. So there are people here... Since he's unsure about just walking right into town with no idea of what kind of people he should expect, he decides to sit somewhere at the edge and observe from a distance for now.

It's then he notices that the book is also filled with people. Perhaps they all use the books to talk to one another. He could try to use his own to talk and learn more about this place.]

I am afraid that I am unfamiliar with these lands. I am lost. I am changed. These new wings of mine will not alter or fade away as I please. While I waste time trying to find answers here, my own world will be thrown into turmoil. The planet and its people will die without me. I must find a way back, no matter what the cost. As there must be people here, I look to you for help.

I... do not understand what has happened. What do I do next?

(OOC: The first part is just a description of Eley arriving! Any action will take place during the 'Later' part as he sits on the outskirts of the village. Feel free to go poke him~ Or just voice him if you want to chat. He'll come out more as he learns more.)

[Today's heat wave was a bit stronger than usual today, but Rudy tried not to let it bother him much as he's going through the village today. After all, intense heat is something he's already acquainted with back home. However, he can't help but note the many newcomers showing up within the past week. So this was a New Feather cycle? The term still felt a little strange to him, but it's the first time he's seen it for himself.

He's just about to head back when he notices a person hanging around and just sitting by himself, it looks. And looking a bit confused over something; over what, that he doesn't know. Rudy won't approach him just yet, but he'll make his presence known, at least. With a friendly wave, he'll call out to the other person:]

Nice day, isn't it?

[Eleytheria doesn't appear too affected by the heat himself. He has lived in many climates over the years and helped to alter the weather himself back home. Though he might enjoy the rain and storms more, the sun isn't always a bad thing.

He's distracted from the weather as he hears someone call to him though, waving in his direction. Someone else with wings, presumably from the village. He nods, watching the stranger closely.]

...it is pleasant, if not a little warm.

[Rudy just smiles back at the stranger. Now that the other person is aware of his presence, Rudy feels a little bit more okay with approaching them.]

It is a little warm, huh? [Y e p. And now, for another question!] Anyway, is everything okay?

[Well, this boy was certainly friendly. He's not used to such a welcoming attitude from strangers.]

I am not sure. I feel strong enough but I know this is not my world. These wings were not made by my own power either. I need to return to my home before it is too late.

[ New Feathers. He always feels so bad for them. ]

There- there isn't really a way back that we're aware of, I'm sorry.

[There's a moment's pause as that sinks in.] We are trapped here? Then my world is doomed. Perhaps I am already dead. What is this place?

You're in Luceti. It's- it's difficult to explain. We've all been brought here from other [ worlds? no, that's still not what he prefers saying. ] places. Time... isn't supposed to pass while we're away.

[This is her second day here, and Saori is wandering around the village, exploring mostly. She's wearing a very airy looking bit of clothing, and has eventually made her way to the edge of town.

Its then that the goddess's sharp eyes spot a man, with wings and wearing pants that she's been told belong to 'New Feathers.' Maybe he needs some help?]

Hello there!

[She calls out merrily to him and heads in his direction]

[Eleytheria looks up as he hears someone call in greeting to him. At first glance she appears to be human, but as she draws closer he can feel something... different about her. He can't see auras but he can feel the natural energy radiating form her. Because of this, it takes a moment for him to respond.]

...ah. Hello. Are you a native to this world? [Perhaps here too there were Spirits.]

[Saori notices the same feeling, and she CAN perceive the spiritual realm with her supernaturally sharpened senses. It strikes her, and its familiar, as though its similar to her own...]

No, I am a new resident myself, the same as you appear to be.

[She bows stiff-kneed]

My name is Saori Kimura. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance.

To begin with, you need not worry about matters in your home world proceeding without you.

...my world will be safe? That would at least offer some comfort to me. I am an important part of its survival. Without me, it will slowly die.

[Ahhh okay, that puts a little of the man's confusion into place. How do you explain to someone with a Purpose that they now have to live without it?]

Yes. The way it works - you appear again at the moment of your original departure, so it is as if time has stopped and waited for your return.

So in the meantime, while the book of that story is marked and placed aside to resume later, it is an opportunity to start a new and different one.

Well, like some of the others have said, you don't have to worry about your world while you're stuck here. Time sorta freezes, so the moment you do get back, it'll be like you never left.

As for the wings, they can be a little annoying at first, but they're still really important.

That is reassuring to know... thank you. Even so, there must be a reason why I am here... why we are all here.

It's hard to say. Nobody's really figured out why or how we're here-- even the guys who keep us in this enclosure got sucked here somehow.

As for the wings, well... if you let anything happen to 'em, you could get really sick, or worse!

[Not only are there people in the village, there are people in the forest, too. Or, well, one other person at least.

Grune was just making her way back home with a bouquet of daisies in her hand when she notices she has company. Since he's not in the New Feather clothing, she simply assumes he's someone she hasn't met yet.]

Hello. Isn't it a nice day?

[He doesn't suggest otherwise either, at least not yet. She hadn't asked after all or said anything he didn't quite understand. It was a nice day. The sun was bright and hot.]

It is warm today. I am sure the flowers will appreciate it. [He comments, looking at that bouquet of daisies in her hand and wondering that they're for.]

Yes, they're all growing so well. The gardens are getting so big!

I'm afraid you're stuck here. This place is called Luceti, and it traps you here and gives you wings. It's a whole different world that takes people from all kinds of worlds. But... whenever you go back home, no time will have passed, so you'll still be able to help your people.

I am glad my world will still be safe then if what you say is true. And my people... they rely on my winds to keep them from harm. Still, I will have to find new purpose while in this strange land.

I'm sorry, it can be hard to adjust here, especially when you don't know anyone. But... what's that about winds?

[As things have it, Emil happens to be out taking his chimera Sial for a walk at the same time Eleytheria is sitting outside the village, and while he doesn't notice the man at first himself, Sial does. The chimera, seeing the opportunity for potential petting, will race over to the spirit and chirp happily as a sort of "hello."

[Eley might be watching Emil from a distance, but he doesn't expect a strange creature to come running up to him all of a sudden and just... stares at the thing in surprise. It doesn't seem to be aggressive. In fact it seems to be greeting him and... waiting for something.

Waiting for what?]

You should go back to your master. [He tells it, hoping it would understand.]

[Sial chirps again and tilts his head as if asking "why?" This person is a new person, which means they might pet him or feed him if he begs enough. So he's just going to stay where he is, tail swishing back and forth curiously.]
