[Whoever's watching the feed right now can probably tell that something's not quite right. Not only does Eley look blackened and sore as if he had been scorched somehow, but the tree behind him also looks as though it has met a similar fate, with shattered branches and charred bark.

And in his hands, he's holding some remnant of what might have been a scarf at one time, though right now it looks like nothing more than a rag.]

Why would anyone do this? How could they... enjoy such a thing?

[He sounds tired, disappointed, though that quickly turns to bitter anger.]

Edmundo the Blade has made an enemy of me. He has shown nothing but disrespect. I should not have let him get this far. If only I was not so complacent, so tied to the path of peace, this would not have happened. My tree...

[Yes, he's more concerned about the tree than he is about himself right now.]

If anyone knows a way to repair the damage, I would be grateful to you.

[The whole event seems to take the Spirit aback. He's seen all kinds of magic here, but he certainly hasn't seen anyone with wings like that before, nor has he seen anyone reconstruct anything using the wind. He has to wonder if perhaps he would be able to do such a thing, if he learned the magic to mend the plant directly...

He can see how tired she is afterwards though and can't help but grow more concerned.]

What you just did... I have not seen a being with wings like yours before, nor have I thought to use the wind in that way. Still, you need not over exert yourself for my sake. Are you all right?

Someone close to me lost a tree that was close to him. I know it can be painful.

[And that tree she couldn't save.

She will make her way back over to him, and can't help but give a slight bow.]

I should've introduced myself first. My name's Kohaku, and the reason I have different wings is because I'm an angel.

[Eley couldn't help but feel sorry for that person. He was lucky then, to have so many come to his aid. It wasn't what he expected at all.

Now though, he was rather intrigued by the tree's rescuer.]

An angel? I do not believe I am familiar with them. Ah but... I should also introduce myself. My name is Eleytheria. I am a Wind Spirit.

...I keep forgetting people here don't know what they are.

[She should be used to it now, really. But she can't help but feel a little disappointed.]

I have a hard time explaining them...magical beings with the job of watching and helping people.

[Eley tilts his head at that. Despite their differences he was getting a sense of familiarity from her at her explanation.]

That is not too dissimilar to my own kind. As the Wind Spirit of Aether, my job is to govern the skies... though there are also humans who worship us. Their numbers may have dwindled... but I still watch over a selected few.

Though you say your abilities include listening to the plants? Is... that something unique to you?

I've never heard of a spirit having that sort of job. What would you have to look out for in the sky?

That's right, it's something all angels can do...though I have met two other people here a while ago that could do it too. But I'm the only one that could let others hear the plants.

Well... I generated an atmosphere on the planet so life could grow... I also move the clouds to control the weather, allow birds and insects to migrate and spread seeds for the plants. The wind comes from me... and with it the planet can thrive.

Your ability would be more attributed to the Earth Spirit in my world, though I am not sure what the extent of his abilities truly are. I do not believe that our powers are not transferable however...

[He pauses.]

Perhaps it is because I know more of the nature of your being... but your presence is... pleasing to me.

That sounds like it must be a very hard job, but very nice to see.

I currently have no job, but when I was in Heaven all I had to do was sing to wake up the new angels.

[That last part makes her smile.]

I'm glad. It is part of my nature to make people feel better.

You sing?

[Again, something Eley had not heard much of here. Singing was rather prevalent among the Agkelon people however, and he did sometimes miss their voices. It was soothing, even for someone like him...]

I have never attempted to sing... though I was given a harmonica to play. I am still far from good at doing so, however...

[He seems a little embarrassed about it for some reason.]

You've never tried to sing before?

[That's practically shocking to her!]

...Why not?

It is... a human activity.

[Was she really expecting him to have tried it then? Obviously it was something very important to her.]

My kind are usually born without emotion or knowledge of human norms. I became too close to the humans... and developed emotions of my own as an exception.

It is something I have been exploring here, since the Malnosso gave me this human body. But... singing is not something that I have encountered yet.

That makes sense.

[She knew nothing of humans before going to Earth...and now she's changed so much that she's living as a human.]

You should try it though. Most people have a lot of fun with it, and it keeps me from missing home too much.

Yes... perhaps I will. Though I will admit that I do not really know where to start...

[How did someone just... break into song? How did they know what to sing or what tune to follow?]

[Kohaku has no problem just starting to sing, and she was going to sing for the tree anyway. So she just takes a deep breath and starts this song. ]

[Eley settles in to listen, watching her intently as he follows the strange melody. Her voice was incredibly peaceful and made him yearn for his home, but it was also comforting.

...in fact he rather struggles to stay awake, already feeling tired after the attack. He finds himself closing his eyes and resting his head back on the tree, still listening, but relaxed now too.]

[That's...not the usual reaction she usually gets from singing. So once she's done, she'll be looking him over.]

Are you okay?

[Her voice is enough to rouse him again and his eyes flicker open. Had he nearly fallen asleep? That was strange... he didn't usually need to. Then again, sleep had helped his injured body to heal before when he was sick.]

Ah... yes, I am sorry. I was listening, please do not think me rude. It seems that my wounded body requires rest. Your voice just helped to relax me enough to do so.

You're hurt...do you need to be healed too? I can heal people too.

[Though only if she doesn't see blood. I she does, she still has the bad habit of fainting.]

You can? Hmm... I do not want to trouble you, I know that I will heal in time.

[He pauses, as if unsure about his decision.]

On the other hand, human bodies are fragile. Perhaps... I should be more careful.

[His body was covered in burns rather than gashes. Luckily there wasn't too much blood spilled here today.]

It's no trouble. I've been gathering up magic ever since I let my wings out.

[Solar powered angel.]

[He hadn't quite made that connection, and so he's pretty intrigued that she'd been doing something he assumed would be more obvious without him realising.

He gives a nod though, holding out his hands.]

The burns are all over my body, mostly at the front. If you can heal them... well, such kindness deserves a reward.

There's no need for a reward. I'm just glad I can help.

[Though she understands why he would think that. Any humans that helped her, she would reward with a wish.

She'll take his hands though, and it should quickly feel like cool water is rushing to the burns. Probably not too comfortable since it's already cold outside, but it'll take a few minutes for her to get them to heal from the inside out.

Healing people is much harder than healing plants.]

[Hmm... perhaps she wouldn't voice a need for something in return, but the Spirit was already keen to offer something in future. He'll find something soon enough.

For now though, the touch of her hands on his keeps his attention, as does the sensation that follows shortly afterwards. Though the cooling feeling washed away the sting of the burns, it also left him feeling rather more cold on the inside and he couldn't help but tense up ever so slightly, as if his body was trying to guard him from it.

Time passed though, and eventually the sensation stopped.]

Is... is it done?

[When she feels like it's done, she'll let go of her hands. Now her hands are cold, but healing magic and cool water is the fastest way to heal a burn.]

Uh-huh. You can check for yourself.

[So of course he does so, examining the sites of his previous wounds and seeing that they really are healed.

His gaze returns to Kohaku. He really is rather intrigued by her at this point.]

I know of people with the ability to heal but I have never experienced it in that way before. Besides that... you seem to have many gifts. I wonder what else you are capable of.
