[As the feed begins, it's probably not difficult to tell that Eley is in another of his thoughtful moods, and is likely about to pose a question to the Lucetians once again. For even though the Spirit had learned of the concept of 'fun', there was still something that seemed to run alongside this that he hadn't quite found an understanding for. One might call it a sense of humour.]
What exactly does it mean to tell a 'joke'? And how can you tell the difference between one that is good and one that is bad?
[Action]
[Another Christmas had passed, embarrassing moments exchanged but also good, positive moments as well. Though Eley did not usually have much of a sense of time, other than the seasons coming and going, these human holidays always seemed to make the time pass much faster for him, he was finding.
That didn't mean that he wanted time to pass that quickly, however, and now Eley was trying to find a moment to sit and relax. This time, he found himself in the forest, wondering how much of it might have changed since he'd arrived after all the fighting and experiments... Saleh had shown him how to build a bonfire and despite his instinctive wariness of the fire, there had been something strangely relaxing about staring into the gently flickering flames. He didn't have Saleh's magic to make the fire with, but he could at least practice the construction. So anyone who's passing through might find him searching for large stones and tinder, or wander past a half-constructed stone circle that the Spirit had left nearby.]

Oh...
So what's it like, being a...a spirit? [He has no idea what he should be imagining, to be honest.]

I... am not sure how to answer that question. We are dutiful beings, born for one purpose and so we carry out our duties for however long we are needed.
Yet... I was the first exception. I began to form emotions and since coming here, have grown to enjoy learning more about humans and their way of life. That is why I ask about jokes.

But I guess that would make whatever duty you have to take care of more bearable, if you don't have any feelings of your own to interfere and make you realize how shitty it is, all work and no play.

[But to him, it was all that life was. He couldn't even say he was happy for it since he hadn't known that emotion before. It just... was.]
Indeed. It is only recently I have come to understand what 'play'... what 'fun' really means. Though I am still capable of surviving perfectly fine without it, I do realise that at times I feel strangely... dissatisfied. It is confusing for one who does not usually have any particular needs.
