[There's an awkward silence at first as if the speaker is finding this rather difficult to say... or doesn't know quite what to say in the first place. But though hesitant, his voice soon comes.]

I... would like to apologise for any embarrassment caused during the recent holiday. This was my first experience with such an event and... I was not prepared for what might happen.

[Another pause.]

That is not the only reason I have chosen to speak today however. There are two other matters I would like to address.

Firstly, I have learned more about what humans call 'birthdays' over the past few weeks. Is this celebrated by all humans? Perhaps even non-humans? Why celebrate another year passing when it only means you are being brought closer to death? Why is this such a... joyous occasion?

Secondly, I have found myself growing idle in Luceti and have realised that the time has come for me to offer some assistance to those living within the enclosure. I may not be able to fulfill my original purpose here, but... I need to make myself useful. If I do not then I may not stay here for much longer. Unless of course, this body will keep me trapped. It would be an empty and meaningless existence.

I cannot offer much in the way of strength but I would be willing to learn new skills, within reason. If my power to manipulate wind would be of any use to you then that is something I can do as well. If anyone has any suggestions... I would like to hear from you.

He is a spirit of this world, though I'm afraid that my contact with him compared to some of the others has been minimal. I have been interested in asking for his aid when the time comes, though.

[His answer makes her pause, given the limitations it could bring. She did not condone using one's abilities to oppose and deliberately harm others, but sometimes the line blurred too much.] You are willing to place your trust into your students for this?

In that case I may be willing to offer my own assistance when you feel ready.

As for placing trust in others... I would prefer to make my decision after meeting them in person so I can better gauge if they seem trustworthy or not. It is hard for me to give a definite answer when regarding strangers. However if I have no reason to doubt them... I would be willing to give them a chance. A promise would have to be made. If that promise is broken, my trust will be gone for good. I would not leave them to use my powers for evil either.

If at any point I find their actions suspicious, I will have to rethink my offer. Respect me and all should go according to plan.

I'll be sure to inform you when that time comes. But as you say, wouldn't it be better for us to meet in person first, before I petition for your aid? [She didn't believe she would make break such a promise, and couldn't think of any scenario where she would want to. But what she believed and what Eleytheria would see were two different things, simply because they were different people not of the same world.]

That you are willing to be upfront about your rules and requirements yet still offer aid is worthy of respect alone.

...I am trying to be more open to interacting with people, despite events in my past making things difficult. I have met a few people in Luceti that I would deem trustworthy, more than I have in my home world. Not only that but I am a being who requires a sense of purpose in order to survive. It would benefit both of us if I had the opportunity to make some kind of difference.

You are right though, we should meet. I am afraid I am still rather new to the... social ways of humans however. Is there anything you would suggest or would you feel it is too early for that?

[Tear remains quiet as he speaks, listening closely to every word he says and taking it in. The situation of encountering one with limited experience of human interaction wasn't new to her, and while the attitude she was hearing was different, it made her want to help him with it anyway, however that may be.]

... The best I can offer is to trust your instinct. If there is something making you uncomfortable or bothering you, don't keep it only to yourself. You say you have met others who you deem trustworthy — don't be afraid to speak with them. I am willing to meet with you whenever you would like, because we may eventually meet and scarcely know each other more than we already do.
