8 - [Action]

[If your character is lucky, they might spot a new creature in the skies for a few days. It seems that while Eleytheria has been staying in the mountains, he has discovered that he can in fact change his shape. However, his shape-shifting ability is not as free as he would have liked. Even so, he is glad to be able to use a more familiar body.

You'll find a gold and white dragon, serpent-like and graceful, circling over the village and the forest and leaving a breeze in his wake. While ordinarily this dragon would possess four small feathered wings, in Luceti he now has an extra pair - the pair that render him vulnerable. While he might be large and perhaps intimidating to some, Eley possesses no altered powers in this form and is purely enjoying an aesthetic difference. It brings him closer to his spiritual origins and reminds him of home... He had spent so long as a human now, perhaps this was what he needed. A chance to find a little freedom even if in this enclosure it didn't seem like much.

The dragon will be resting in various spots around the forest and mountains and just outside the village too, giving the people of Luceti a chance to approach if they wish.]

(OOC: Eley dragon will be here for a few days~ He won't be doing anything in particular since, save from flying, his powers are the same as usual, but if you want your character to go poke him then go for it! Also I have a WIP reference here. Sorry, no icons, you'll have to use your imagination. ): )

Indeed... they do not exist in my universe. I have seen three other dragons in Luceti... but they are rather small compared to your form... and they are not capable of communication.

[Spock was still looking at Eley in Vulcan wonderment.]

There are many dragons in Aether, though few of them are intelligent enough to communicate with humans. I am sure you would enjoy exploring my world if there was some means of getting there...

[He never thought he'd be saying that to a stranger from another world... perhaps he misses home more than he lets on. Especially being in this form. It reminds him too much of his old life. When he was just a Spirit, doing what he was made to do.]

If it was possible I would be amenable to experiencing your world... As it is, it is an honour to see you in this form now.

[Spock reached forward and stroked Eley's muzzle once more...]

[The dragon closes his blue eyes a little at that... apparently he enjoys the pettings more than he first realised he would.]

No... thank you for showing me respect. There are many who would be more familiar with my kind who would not treat me so kindly.

[Spock blushes a bit green... but does not remove his hand...]

Flying must be a most fascinating experience....

<small[...was that a hint, Eley wondered? He was sure many people here wished to experience flight for themselves. Being given wings that couldn't sustain them in flight must be frustrating, he imagined.]</small>

Hmm... it is not usual for anyone to sit upon a god and ride him as he would a pack animal. Since you are a friend though... perhaps I can allow it for a short time. If that is what you wish.

[Spock is silent for a long moment...]


You.... would do this for me?

[winds_voice]

I... trust you to be gentle with me. [He admits.] You helped me before when I was frail and sick. Why should you treat me any differently now? Would you betray me now as a dragon?

[He'll give him the option, lying down now to bring himself closer to the ground. Eley will still be watching him intently if he comes closer.]

[spohkh]

[Spock slowly steps forward... and gently climbs onto Eley's back. The sensation of sitting on such a creature was absolutely amazing...


The Vulcan bent down low and placed his hands on Eley's neck.]

[winds_voice]

[The sensation of having someone sitting upon his back was strange enough for Eley too. Nobody had ever done it before. He preferred not to let the humans from his world too close. Luceti seemed like a good place to try new things however, and while it was odd to him, it wasn't too uncomfortable.

He unfurled his wings now, a strong wind swirling around his feet as he prepared to take off. But first...]

Are you ready? You can turn back now if you want to. If not... hold on tightly.

I am ready. [Spock tightens his hold and prepares himself.]

[Well, Spock's been warned, so now there's no reason to stay here, right? The dragon barely needs a run-up, being a creature of the wind - once he's ready, he crouches a little and springs forward into the air, his wings flapping to aid in his ascent and then unfurling, catching the wind that trails behind him as he flies.

He circles low at first, gradually gaining altitude as he skims over the trees of the forest, making them bow their branches over the wake of the wind. His movements are graceful and smooth and he glides at a good even pace. There should be no danger of his passenger falling once Eley's evened out.]

...how are you finding it?

This is.... amazing Eleytheria.


[The Vulcan was indeed amazed. Underneath his fingertips and legs, he could feel incredibly powerful muscles move them through the air...

His head swiveled to take in everything that he could....]

[winds_voice]

Does the enclosure look any different from above?

[He asks, forcing them higher now away from the trees, so they can get a better look at their surroundings. Eley almost wished that the barrier didn't exist... that he could fly over the rest of this planet and find out what other secrets it held. As it was, he was happy enough just to find his own small space in the air. It was his natural habitat after all.

It may not be true freedom, but it as close as we can get at present.

[The Vulcan was in absolute awe...

It was indeed a level of freedom he has never experience before. Traveling space was one thing... but feeling the air as he was now was...

..breathtaking.]

The difference in perspective is indeed apparent. [The pitch in Spock's voice was the only thing that gave the Vulcan away.]

[winds_voice]

[Once they reached a higher altitude, Eley evened out again, gliding on the wind with wings outstretched and angled so as to slow his movement, letting them both enjoy the view.]

If only the barrier did not exist, I would be able to go much further and explore this world as a whole. I had not given much thought to how small this enclosure really is from the ground. I am used to travelling all over my world... now the barrier really does make me feel caged.

[spohkh]

[Spock did not know what to say to this... He had no experience.]

Perhaps you may be sent on a mission with more freedom of space?

[winds_voice]

[Oh yes, missions were always a possibility. But... he seems a little bothered by the thought of it actually.]

It seems that some missions involve violence. That is something I do not want to take part in, if I can help it. Even if it meant sacrificing some of my freedom, I would like to avoid hurting others.

Of course if there was a non-violent means of venturing out, I would likely be more interested.

Indeed...

[Spock relaxes on Eley's neck...]

[He glances back a moment as he feels Spock relax on his neck.]

There is no need to thank me... though I am glad if this has brought you some happiness.

[spohkh]

You may land now if you wish. I will not burden you any longer... I am quite satisfied by the experience.

[winds_voice]

Very well.

[The dragon will circle back now, aiming to land by the Battledome. Once he draws close he lowers his altitude and with wings turned against the wind and legs outstretched he comes in to land gently on firm ground. He crouches then to allow Spock to climb off of him.]

I hope you will remember this experience. You are the first to travel the skies with me.

[Spock experiences a twinge of pain as contemplates the fact that he will indeed forget this memory when he leaves this place....]

I... I will remember it as long as I am able Mister Eleytheria. I am honoured to have been your first passenger.
